not that the 64bit version is practically any better for flash or browsers… It just makes people feel good, lol. Well at least not until flash starts to address over 4gb of ram and that’s way off. If it can run 32bit plugins then it would make no difference, at least in the browser world…

Just go to the OSS website and download the latest version. Just make sure you have the 64 bit flash player. All you do is just uninstall 4.0 and install 4.1. You can also get the latest version via mercurial which is 4.2 rc4 I think. Either way it should work according to the Ubuntu opensound page.

im having trouble with flash on my ubuntu 8.04 lts 64, because i use oss. can you explain some more rendezvous65? im on the quest for some days now… tired of compiling, copying, ln files… none worked.

OSS users should upgrade to 4.1 or the latest version via mercurial since it now supports it right out of the box. No more doing flashsupport.c compiling.

the 32 bit version can be dl from labs.adobe[.]com/downloads/flashplayer10.html just make sure to select the correct package needed. Also uninstall any prior version before you install the new version.

Flash 10 64 bit Alpha has been revised. Now it’s 10.0.22.87 aka 10.r22. It fixes some bugs. It’s just a refresh. A beta has yet to come out. Thats when it might reach Windows and OSX. 64 bit Windows users will need both the 32 and the 64 bit versions of Flash. Adobe might make it Vista x64 and 7 x64 only so it won’t work if you have XP x64. That might not be true though.

I pm’ed you some info on that,. since I do not run Debian at all.
