
EV Innovations, incorporated in Nevada and with an R&D subsidiary in India, recently showed off two pre-production electric vehicles at the New York Auto Show. Pictured to the left and below, the Wave and the Inizio EVS are aimed at different market segments and have very different performance profiles.
The Wave is a 2-seater vehicle that offers an electric range of 170 miles on a single charge. It travels from 0-60 mph in a lumbering 12 seconds and tops out at 80 mph. EV Innovations claims that its battery packs last through 2,500 charges at the very least, and that the car is set to sell for$34,000.
On the other hand, the Inizio EVS appears built to compete with the Tesla. It manages a 0-60 mph acceleration in just over 4 seconds and carries a maximum speed of 170 mph. It is claimed to be able to travel up to 200 miles on a single charge and also lasts a minimum of 2,500 charges The up-scale Inizio is expected to sell for $139,000.

The technology company’s website states that its ambitions including producing a wide range of lithium-ion products, from mopeds and cars to homes and commercial facilities. After receiving positive feedback on the Wave following the auto show, EV Innovations recently offered a press release stating that it is speeding up production of its 4-seater version of the vehicle, dubbed the Wave-S4. This upgraded car is expected to sell for $39,900 and can be seen on their website. No production dates have yet been announced.
